FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take to produce a rug?

Hand knotted rugs up to size 10x14 are produced within three months. Larger rugs can take four months. Hand loomed rugs are produced within one month.
How are the rugs shipped from Kathmandu?

We always use air freight which will be delivered within one week.
Are children used to produce rugs?

Nepal has strict laws to prohibit the use of child labor. Since our manufacturer is registered with the government, their facilities are routinely examined to make sure that all employees are of the proper age.
How do should I care for my rug?

The wool used in our production is from Tibet. The sheep raised in high altitudes has a high content of lanolin which is the natural oil in wool. Lanolin allows the wool to resist stains. Vacuum as needed using suction only, not the bristles. Spot clean using a wet cloth, do not use soap. Make sure the spot is dry after cleaning by using a hair blower to avoid a water mark. Send the rug to a professional cleaner for hard to get out stains. Do not pull loose threads. Instead, cut them to be the same as the pile height.
How do I store my rug?

Wrap the rug in plastic paper or covering. Keep the rug in a dry interior, off of the ground.
