Kathmandu Rugs' design studio provides a custom program that allows you to modify color, pattern and size to fit your particular vision. A design specialist can either reinterpret an existing pattern into a custom colorway or develop an entirely new design and color palette.

Step One

Choose a design from Kathmandu Rugs collections or submit your custom design. Kathmandu Rugs will send you our palette of over 250 colors in the form of woolen color pom chains. Choose colors and place appropriately on the design line drawing. A color rendering will then be provided.

Step Two

Once the color rendering has been approved, a 20”x30” sample (strike off) will be ordered.

Step Three

A strike off takes 4-6 weeks to deliver. Once the strike off is approved and deposit has been received, production will begin. Most rugs are made in 3-4 months.
